Men’s Soccer Place 10 on All-Region Team

After a successful season, the Bulldogs win the Region 17 Championship and earn a spot in the District Championships, also, several individual accolades were awarded amongst the team.

NJCAA Region 17 has announced their All-Region Team and 10 Bulldogs were honored. Heading the list in Region 17 is "Player of the Year", Juan David Herrera. JD led the conference in goals (24) and points (57). He was also ranked 3rd for goals and 4th in points nationally.

JD is joined by eight teammates on the first team including fellow forward, Nicolas Milot, who led the conference and is ranked 16th nationally in assists (12). Midfielders, Alfie Madden and Elias Araya earned first-team honors for their ability to control play. Alfie tied for the league assists lead.

Four defensive stalwarts also were named first-team, Tanaka Gobere, Renan Fiore and Juan Manuel Molina, these Bulldogs controlled the backline all year long leading to 1.44 goals-against average. They were backstopped by the goalie, Salvatore Mazza, who also earned first-team honors.

To round out the awards Head Coach, David Sexton earned "Coach of the Year."

The Bulldogs still have games left and travel to Orlando Health Stadium to play in the NJCAA District Championship. November 8-9
