GMC Football hosts Faith and Family Day for last home game

The #13 NJCAA ranked GMC JC Football team (6-1), who is fresh off their 34-6 win yesterday against Army Prep in West Point NY, will be back in action this coming Saturday, October 28th at home against unranked Arkansas Baptist.  For the last home game of the year our theme is Faith and Family Day.  For this day there will be several churches in the area that will be bringing their members to the game, there will be recognitions at half time, several other special events and of course a well-equipped Kidd Zone.

We want to invite you out for this weekend's game.  There is one change we wanted to let you know about.  The cost to get in for a General Admission ticket is normally $10, but for this game if you bring some canned goods to donate, the cost to enter will only be $3.  For those that have a GMC ID you are able to enter for free anyway, but we ask that you consider bringing some canned goods anyway to help support the cause.

After we collect all the canned goods we will donate them then to a couple local soup  kitchens and ministries that feed our community.  With the holidays coming up we want to do our part to help support those in need within our own community.  So raid your cabinets, mark your calendar and make plans to be at Davenport Field on Saturday, October 28th for Faith and Family Day in support of our home team: The GMC Bulldogs!

Faith and Family Game Day activities include:

  • Pre-game tailgating in Cordell Parking Lot
  • Kid Zone behind Davenport field-FREE
  • Pastoral and church recognitions at halftime
  • Canned goods food drive for local ministries
  • Post-game pictures with some of the GMC players
  • Post-game Praise and Worship outside the Atrium

You won't want to miss out on this special day of recognition and a time for the family to enjoy college football in a family friendly environment.

The game will be live broadcasted on for those that are out of town or out of state that can't make it in to the game.
