The GMC Cross Country Junior College cross country teams saved their best race of the season for the last day of the month of September.  The men's team competed in the Willie Laster Invite hosted by Albany State University on their West Campus.

The men were led by Freshman Zachary Ashley who finished in 9th place overall with a time of 30:47 for the 8k course.  Other scoring runners for the Bulldogs were Stone Woods (15th), Eduardo Mireles-Valle (27th), Joseph See (28th) and Artez Edmond (30th).  As a team the men finished in 5th place, just 9 points behind Fort Valley State University.  Morehouse won the race in very impressive fashion.

The next run that many of the team will participate in will be this weekend at the Army 10 miler in Washington D.C.

The next team run will be the GCAA Conference Championship/Region 17 Championship which will be held at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, GA.  The event will be hosted by Oxford College and will take place on 17 October 2018 at 4:00 pm.
