By the start of the 2nd game the Bulldogs were over their bus lethargy and cranked out 3 runs in the top of the first. That was all that Danielle Downs would need as she shut out the Saints 9-0 giving up only 6 hits. Kiley Rediger led the offense with 3 hits and 3 RBI. Brittany Lowe went 2-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Rigsbee also contributed 2 hits. Seven of the 9 starters scored a run.

Downs then cranked another double scoring Wilbanks. Following a ground out Crews singled in Jenni McDaniel who was running for Downs. Madason Messer the shut down the FSC team to get the win. While nobody collected more than 1 hit in the game they were timely hits either initiating innings or knocking in runs.
Game #2 vs FSC Jacksonville
The Dogs came out flat in game 2 getting only 7 hits and not putting them back to back. Final score FSC Jacksonville 6 – GMC 2. Crews went 3-4 and Downs went 2-4. Mallory Parson took her first loss of the year in the circle.
The Bulldogs are right back at it Tuesday facing Andrew College in GCAA matchup in Cuthbert, Ga.
"We played 8 games in 6 days, 4 conference and 4 non-conference and spent about 16 hours on buses. It was a long week. We are disappointed in going 4-4 over the week but we know the tough schedule will help come tournament time." says Head Coach Ashley Bunn.
