Men's Golf Wins GCAA Championship

The GMC JC Men's Golf team captured its second Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association Conference Championship in three years with a decisive win on Tuesday at Southern Landings Golf Course. Freshman Tripp Dye led the way for GMC as he finished in 1st place and was the tournament's Low Medalist.  He shot a 78 in the first round and then a 74, low round of the tournament, in the final round which brought home the championship for the Bulldogs.  Teammates Levi Gregg T3 (155) and Brady Wentz 5th (157) joined Dye on the All-Region team. Rounding out the scoring for the Bulldogs were  Ross Tetreault, 7th (161), and Landon Lyon, 9th (166). They will now set their sights on the NJCAA Division III National Championship, which will take place June 3-6 at Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, NY.
