Milledgeville, Ga. — Georgia Military College delivered a dominant performance on Saturday, sweeping East Georgia State College in a doubleheader with victories of 10–2 and 7–4. The Bulldogs showcased depth throughout the lineup, strong pitching, aggressive base running, and flawless defense to cap off a memorable Sophomore Day at home.

Georgia Military College opened the day with an emphatic 10–2 win, powered by a standout performance from Jayna Kearson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate. Kearson singled in the first and third innings and added a solo home run to center field in the fourth, finishing with two runs scored and three RBIs.

The Bulldogs broke the game open with a six-run third inning. RBI singles from Kearson, Sophia Boutelle, Claire Clements, and Kylee Keck, paired with a two-run double by Kayleigh Hester, put GMC firmly in control. Earlier, Keck launched a two-run home run in the second inning to build momentum, while Kearson's solo homer on the fourth capped the scoring.

In the circle, Claire Clements earned the win, allowing just three hits and one earned run over five innings while striking out five. Georgia Military College totaled 11 hits in the contest and applied constant pressure on the base paths, stealing four bases overall, including two from Olivia Bridger. Defensively, the Bulldogs turned a key double play and played clean throughout.

Georgia Military College completed the sweep with a 7–4 victory in game two, relying on timely power and disciplined at-bats.

The Bulldogs struck early with three runs in the bottom of the first inning. Boutelle delivered a sacrifice fly, Ana Land drew a bases-loaded walk, and Clements added an RBI single down the left-field line. Kaiden Bradford continued the offensive spark with a solo home run to left field in the second inning, while Boutelle followed with a solo shot to center in the third inning after a six-pitch at-bat.

Meredith Durden anchored the Bulldogs in the circle, pitching seven strong innings and allowing eight hits and four runs while striking out four. Her steady effort helped GMC hold off any late threats.

Offensively, Boutelle led the Bulldogs with two RBIs, while Bradford finished 2-for-3 from the leadoff spot. GMC showed patience at the plate with four walks, turned another double play defensively, and committed no errors.

Georgia Military College now turns its attention to the GCAA Championship Tournament, where the Bulldogs will play on May 7 at 4:00 p.m. against the winner of East Georgia State and South Georgia State. The tournament will be hosted by Georgia Highlands College
