Dan is entering his first season as the Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach, while continuing as the Head Golf Professional at The Club at Lake Sinclair. A strong partnership between GMC and The Club at Lake Sinclair allows him to serve both organizations, with full support from the club’s ownership, management, and membership.

A PGA Certified Professional in Golf Operations, Player Development, and General Management, Dan has been a member of the PGA of America for 27 years. He has built successful instructional programs, worked with golfers of all skill levels, and created an environment that helps athletes grow, compete, and succeed.

Dan also brings deep expertise in golf equipment and technology. He is a certified Callaway club fitter and uses the Foresight launch monitor to stay at the forefront of modern golf instruction and player development.
His coaching philosophy focuses on helping student-athletes improve on and off the course. Dan is committed to building a program grounded in integrity, resilience, and competitive excellence, while fostering teamwork, accountability, and personal growth. He believes collegiate coaching is about more than scorecards and leaderboards—it is about preparing young adults to succeed in competition, in the classroom, and in life.

Away from the course, Dan and his wife, Sharon, have been married for 38 years and are raising their grandsons, Clayton and Branton. Both boys are thriving academically and athletically. Branton currently plays soccer and runs cross country at GMC Prep, and the family hopes Clayton will soon join his brother as a student at GMC Prep.
